On Track: Julian Track Wins EPT Prague Main Event

Little-known German qualifier takes home €725,700.

Previously unknown Julian Track outlasted a tough final table at the EPT Prague Main Event to with the first-place prize—And all while battling the flu.

“I’m very tired. I just want to take a 16-hour sleep. I guess in the next four days I’ll be very, very happy,” said the exhausted German champ.

Not far behind in prize money was George Sotiropoulos from Greece, who finished in second place and took home €700,000 thanks to a deal struck between the two that divvied up the lion’s share of the remaining prize pool.

Behind them, the pay table includes some expert competition, including UK pros Stephen Chidwick and Max Silver, SuperNova Elite Ka Kwan Lau, and GPI Player of the Year Ole Schemion.

Check out the short interview by PokerNews with Track and a final table highlights vid from PokerStars, below, and read all the updates on PokerStarsBlog.com. There’s also a solid update from GPI.
