Doug Polk Sets New Record for Largest Win by a Player Live-streaming Action on Twitch

Polk streams live to paying subscribers as he takes down “Kilimanjaro” tournament.

Sunday night saw Polk pick up $162,000 for his win in the online $700 buy-in “Kilimanjaro” tournament, part of the Mountain Series by PokerStars.

He set a new record for the largest win by a player live-streaming online poker action.

Unfortunately for Polk, his victory was only seen by a few viewers as his Twitch channel is subscription based only—costing viewers $4.99 a month.

Polk beats the previous record holder Rupert Elder by $37,000. Elder set the previous record last September.

(The lack of sound certainly kills the mood when watching the action)

With the rising popularity of Twitch we can only expect this record to be broken again soon as spring promotions and tournaments start ramping up.
