Las Vegas Court Throws Out Leon Tsoukernik’s Countersuit of Matt Kirk

As reported in the Las Vegas Review Journal a judge has thrown out the countersuit from Leon Tsoukernik—owner of Kings Casino—over Australian high stakes poker pro Matt Kirk defraduing him.

The lawsuit is all to do with a late night high stakes heads-up cash game at the Aria Casino between Tsoukernik and Kirk. Tsourkernik (who was drunk) allegedly funded his game with repeated loans from Kirk and failed to pay back what was due.

Tsoukernik lost $3 million to Kirk but only paid back $1 million. Kirk sued Tsoukernik but then was countersued by the Kings Casino owner who said that the Aria Casino worked with Kirk to ply him with alcohol.

Kirk’s case against Tsoukernik for the outstanding $2 million is still ongoing.

If you remember, Rob Yong also managed to get himself swept up in the fall-out between Tsoukernik and Kirk.

Yong took to his blog to set the record straight in his involvement in the matter.
