Team PokerStars Pro and team manager of the Global Poker League’s Hong Kong Stars, Celina Lin, was a guest on the popular BBC podcast The Conversation where she revealed that she uses her sex appeal to gain an advantage at the poker table.
“I tend to wear lower cut tops the deeper I go in tournaments,” Lin stated and then proceeded to joke, “research shows that men cannot think as well under situations where blood may be going elsewhere.”
Joined by fellow poker pro Cat Hubert, who stated “I don’t think women are as good as male players, I think they are better than male players,” Lin agreed. Make sure you check out the reason why and the rest of the great talk to get a better idea of what makes these poker pros tick.
**Note: It has since been discovered that in true Bilzerian fashion, it was all flash and no cash at the poker table as it seems the wannabe poker player posted a year old pic. Thanks to Reading Poker Tells and Aaron Todd for the tip.
Posting on Instagram from the Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Dan Bilzerian has clearly not lost his propensity to brag as he apparently sits with at least $2 million dollars in chips on the table, with what looks to be a big blind of $1,200.
As always, his Instagram is filled with the latest from his “baller” lifestyle that has made him so famous.
Serbian poker pro Andjelko Andrejevic won his first ever World Poker Tour tile in Amsterdam this weekend after beating Tomas Fara to win over €200,000 in prize money and denying Anthony Zinno his 4th WPT Title.

Anthony Zinno who was playing for his fourth WPT title entered the final table with the third biggest stack. After holding the chip lead at one point during three-handed play against Fara and Andrejevic, he couldn’t hold on and was eliminated in 3rd place, earning €90,460.
3rd place finish @WPT Amsterdam – sincere thanks for all of the well-wishes, they mean more than you know. shoulda worn the suit!— Anthony Zinno (@AntZinno) May 14, 2016
The heads up play between Fara and Andrejevic apparently ended up lasting over three hours before Andrejevic could claim his win.
Team PokerStars Pro Jason Somerville broke the 30,000 viewer mark on his Twitch channel last week as he made the Final Table during his live stream of the $700 buy-in No Limit Hold’em Progressive Super Knockout (PSKO) tournament from the PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP).
Somerville has now amassed over 12 million views and 180,000 followers on Twitch—and so you dont miss out on the action over the remaining days of the series, you can follow along here.
In one of the most in-depth interviews I have seen with Hellmuth, it’s no topics off limits as Strazynski covers things such as Ultimate Bet and Hellmuth’s aspirations, as well as getting into his personal and professional life.
In true Poker Brat style, Hellmuth manages to name drop the likes of The Obamas and Oprah along the way and even winds up the interview by saying how he thinks he would have made a good US President. Well judging by today’s standards, that’s probably not hard.
Thanks to pokernyhederne and some cryptic tweets from Doyle Brunson it was revealed that the two men who lost their shit in the Bellagio’s high stakes Bobby’s Room were none other than Gus Hansen and David Oppenhiem.
We are bit late to the party on this, but back in late November Fedor Holz challenged his twitter followers to read or listen to 40 new books before the end of the year. All in the name of bettering yourself. I think.
Branching out into the world of YouTube beyond his usual poker shows, Polk is now reaching for heights of internet stardom by trying to recreate the success of renowned YouTubers such as PewDiePie, Markiplier, and jacksepticeye.
The Atlantic Ballroom at the Resorts Casino in Atlantic City New Jersey is the scene of the all new StarsFun Skills Zone. Those attending the new PokerStars Festival event in New Jersey can not only blow off steam while taking a break from the poker tables, but they can take the opportunity to even get in a little extra action.
By now just about everyone has seen the infamous “Check your privilege” hand from the 2016 World Series of Poker Main Event (if not you can watch it below), but according to speech-play master William Kassouf, there was more to the hand between him and November Niner Griffin Benger than what was shown on ESPN.
Following Mike “The Mouth” Matusow’s interview on the PokerNews podcast where he talked about the Poker Hall of Fame nominees and why he feels he was snubbed, Daniel Negreanu took to the podcast to tackle some misconceptions that were spoken about.
