PokerStars Bags Two EGR Awards for Innovation in Poker & Casino Categories

Online poker giant, PokerStars, has won two awards in innovation categories at the prestigious EGR Marketing & Innovation awards 2020, held virtually on July 30.

The leading online poker room took out the award for the Innovation in Poker category. It won against the Kindred Group, the parent company of Unibet Poker and Olympic Entertainment Group that operates Olybet, one of the skins of GGPoker.

The EGR Marketing & Innovation Awards is held annually, recognizing stand out creativity & innovation in online gaming in the last twelve months.

Over the past few years, PokerStars has been leading the charge for the poker industry, introducing various innovative poker game formats and game features. The company has developed nearly a dozen of new poker games, starting with Split Hold’em in April 2018 to Swap Hold’em earlier this year.

In addition, PokerStars also won the award for the Innovation in Casino category, beating nine other nominees including the Betsson Group.
