Bruno Foster Wins WPT Global Influencers Event, Bags $125K+

WPT Global Influencer Freeroll crowned its winner on July 12, as Foster outlasted the field of 34 to take home the grand prize of more than $125,000.

Bruno Foster was the last man standing in the WPT Global Influencer Freeroll on July 12. The Brazilian outlasted 16 other influencers and 17 players who qualified for the final event, winning the top prize of $100,000, alongside the $25,000 reserved for the last influencer to survive in the tournament and several $2,000 bounties he won during play.

The tournament was the culmination of an imaginative WPT Global promotion, which gave new players a chance to sign up under their favorite player and influencer (the list included the likes of Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, DJ Steve Aoki, and more).

This gave them a seat in the $10,000 freeroll hosted by their chosen personality where, in addition to the $10K prize pool, there was a $2,000 bounty on the host and the ticket for the final $100K event for every individual winner.

The main tournament took place on July 12, involving 34 players (17 influencers and 17 qualifiers), but the freeroll was played in the winner-takes-all format, meaning that only one player would take home the entire pot worth $100,000.

Each WPT Global influencer had a $2,000 bounty on their head, so players could also pick up some cash along the way. In the end, WPT Global’s own Bruno Foster held all the virtual chips, winning $100,000, plus the special $25,000 prize for being the last influencer standing.
