WPT Global Still Giving Away Tickets to the $100K GTD Welcome Event

All new depositing players will get a free ticket to the WPT Global $100K guaranteed event, but the offer is only available until the end of August!

While the Summer Festival may be over at WPT Global, there are still many reasons for players to join the action. One of them is the opportunity to grab a free ticket for the operator’s $100,000 GTD Welcome Event!

The offer is available to all new depositing players, so if you are still to deposit with WPT Global, you should probably do it before the end of August. You will get the standard 100% bonus of up to $1200 and the $110 ticket to play in the Welcome Event with the $100,000 prize pool.

Day 1 flights are running through the rest of the month (on Wednesday and Sundays), with 20% of the field advancing to the final day scheduled for Sunday, September 4.

Your free ticket will be added to your Backpack shortly after making the first deposit on the WPT Global app, and you can use it to enter any starting flight you like.

If you do not use the ticket until August 31, when the last Day 1 flight will take place, your ticket will be voided and removed from the account, so make sure to use it before then and grab some extra value while it is still available!

PokerStars EPT Winner Bounced Back from One Big Blind

Giuliano Bendinelli made an epic comeback during the final table play, spinning his 1BB stack into the EPT Barcelona title.

The biggest-ever EPT Main Event in history will be remembered for more than its record-breaking field. Giuliano Bendinelli, the eventual winner, reminded everyone that the old “a chip and a chair” adage was more than a comforting thought that comes to mind when you lose a big pot and are down to just a few big blinds.

The Italian managed to claw his way back into the prestigious PokerStars tournament from just one big blind and then proceeded to win the whole thing, claiming the title and the €1.5 million first prize.

At one point during the six-handed final table, Bendinelli found himself heading to the rail, with a sole big blind remaining in front of him. It is hard to think that even Bendinelli himself believed he could master a comeback at that point, but the poker gods scripted an exciting and fitting conclusion to this historic EPT Barcelona Main Event.

Carried by his energetic rail, the Italian managed to find several much-needed double-ups and then proceeded to ride the wave all the way to his first EPT title. He and the runner-up Jimmy Guerrero struck a deal at the start of heads-up play, so Bendinelli took home less than the advertised cash for the winner, but it was still, by far, the most valuable prize of his career.
