ESPN has released a new podcast all on Phil Ivey’s Baccarat cheating scandal.
In case you missed it, Ivey has been embroiled in the cheating scandal since 2012 when he was accused of edge sorting while playing Punto Banco (a form of Baccarat) with his playing partner Cheung Yin Sun at the Crockfords Casino.
Earlier this month, Phil Ivey took his case to the UK Supreme Court to contest Crockfords Casino withholding his £7.8 million in winnings from 2012.
The drama is far from over for Ivey as he has a similar case pending with Borgata in New Jersey. Borgata wants the poker superstar to pay $10.1 million in restitution and another $5.4 million in “expectation damages” because it contends that Ivey “broke the rules of gambling as defined in [New Jersey]” when winning $10 million from the Borgata, again playing Baccarat in 2012.
Check out the podcast trailer below that is being pitched as an audio documentary to learn more about the scandal and what’s next for Ivey and his partner in crime Cheung Yin Sun.
