RunGood Brings Golden Expedition Back to MGM National Harbor

The Maryland stop runs seven days, with 12 ring events and a $250,000 Main Event guarantee.

RunGood Poker Series is heading back to MGM National Harbor in Maryland for RGPS Golden Expedition Maryland, a seven-day stop with 12 ring events and a $1,300 Main Event that carries a $250,000 guarantee.

MGM Resorts’ newsroom said the series returns to the poker room this September, and PokerNews said it will be on site to live report the Main Event. The venue is being billed as a poker hot spot for East Coast grinders and as one of the biggest poker rooms east of the Mississippi.

The schedule opens on Sept. 21 with a $300 Tag Team Ring Event that costs $150 per player. Other early stops include a $400 Seniors NLH Ring Event with a $25,000 guarantee, a $400 PokerNews PowerStack Ring Event with a $50,000 guarantee across two starting flights, and $500 Five Card PLO and Big O events for mixed-game players.

As covered in the spring, RunGood was already at MGM National Harbor for RGPS Passport Maryland, where the $1,300 Main Event drew 307 runners and Arash Asadabadi won $73,037. That stop produced a $349,980 prize pool and featured RunGood ambassador Julie Cornelius at the final table. This September’s Main Event begins on Sept. 24 with the first of three starting flights and plays to a winner on Sept. 27.
