Klemens Roiter Wins EPT Barcelona €25K After Heads-Up Deal

Ottomar Ladva took the bigger split, and the Barcelona win gave Roiter his first title of 2026.

Klemens Roiter won the €25,000 no-limit hold’em title at EPT Barcelona after a heads-up deal with Ottomar Ladva. Ladva finished as the official runner-up, but the split gave him the larger deal-adjusted payout.

The festival is running at Casino Barcelona from Aug. 16-29. The €25,000 event drew 39 entries and built a €936,390 prize pool, with the top six spots paid. The posted first-place prize before the deal was €323,090.

PokerExklusiv reported the euro figures as €266,030 for Roiter and €267,760 for Ladva. CardPlayer reported the same result in dollars, with Roiter taking $308,595 and Ladva $310,602. The CardPlayer report also said the event was the first of several €25,000 buy-in tournaments on the festival schedule, and that Ladva had reached heads-up after backing up a second-place finish from the previous day in an earlier event.

That same report described Ladva as being in the middle of a career year. It said he had recorded four of the five biggest scores of his live career in 2026, including a $1.15 million win in February at the Onyx High Roller Series and a €100,000 high roller victory at EPT Paris worth $1,145,686.

For Roiter, the Barcelona result was his first title and his 11th final-table finish of 2026. After the win, he sat 15th in the PokerGO-style Player of the Year points race presented by CoinPoker. Ladva’s career haul stood at nearly $7.4 million after the result.
