Martin Hummel Pushes Online Poker Run to 76 Hours
The Dutch streamer mixed GGPoker tournaments and cash games, raised €600 for charity and still has to clear Guinness verification.
Martin Hummel completed a 76-hour online poker marathon on GGPoker, pushing past Sergio García’s 49-hour online mark by 27 hours. He finished on his 44th birthday after originally planning to stop at 72 hours.
15m.com reported that the bid began on Aug. 14, was streamed live on Hummel’s PPMH00 Twitch channel, and kept going for four extra hours once he hit his target. The report said witnesses appeared during the marathon and took turns every four hours. Guinness officials constantly monitored Hummel’s attempt to ensure he was always at the virtual felt. The result is still awaiting Guinness verification, and García remains the official online poker record-holder for now.
During the marathon, Hummel mixed MTTs, Rush & Cash and Mystery Battle Royale games. He played 65 MTTs, made the money in 16, and won one after a three-way deal. He spent about €900 on buy-ins and finished with about €1,000 in cashes, for a profit of €100.
The stream also raised €600 for Stichting DierenLot, an animal welfare charity. Hummel has chased this kind of milestone before, including a 48-hour online poker run in 2021 that once held the Guinness mark before García took it with 49 hours in 2023.
