Octopi Poker Relaunches Boivin’s Beyond the Solver as Self-Paced Course
The updated program adds 11 blueprints, 160-plus short lessons and bonus workshops for early buyers.
Octopi Poker has relaunched Thomas Boivin’s Beyond The Solver as a self-paced online course. The updated version is available now, and it replaces the earlier cohort-based format with a product students can work through on their own schedule.
PokerOrg reported that the original version was a limited-intake, cohort-based course that closed registration ahead of the WSOP. After that first run, Boivin and Octopi went back through the syllabus, revised the material and added new content before bringing it back in a self-contained format.
The new course page now frames Beyond The Solver around 11 blueprints and more than 160 short video lessons. It is built around “structure and exploits,” with the first half focused on baseline play and GTO heuristics, and the second half on population tendencies and profitable adjustments.
The course also uses a “Baseline, Leak, Counter” framework. Students start from solver output, identify where the field deviates street by street, lock in counters through node-locking, and then drill the adjustments with quizzes and trainer reps until the response becomes automatic at the table.
A purchase includes one month of Octopi’s Professional plan, plus lifetime access to the video lessons. Trainer drills and broader platform access continue only while an active Pro membership is in place after that included month, and existing Pro members receive account credit.
The course is priced at $999 as a one-time payment. The page says all video content stays yours forever, while the drills and platform tools are tied to membership.
Boivin designed the curriculum and teaches most of the sessions, while Matt Hunt and Brian Hastings cover the concepts where they have the most expertise. Earlier PokerOrg coverage said Boivin joined Octopi Poker as Head of Content and Head of Octopi Academy, part of the company’s push to rethink poker coaching and study through content.
That same coverage said Boivin has more than $17 million in lifetime tournament earnings, and that he won more than $8.42 million in live tournaments in 2025 alone. PokerOrg also said the first course was a three-week professional-level program that sat between GTO and exploitative play, with Boivin explaining that the aim was to show the main exploits versus most player profiles so students would not leave money on the table.
Buyers who sign up before Aug. 1 get access to two special 90-minute small-group workshops with Boivin, scheduled for late August.
