World Poker Tour will give away 81 entries to the $400 ClubWPT Gold Super Gold Million during a Dec. 2 Meet-Up Game at Wynn Las Vegas. The three-hour cash-game session runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Encore Poker Room, during the WPT World Championship festival.
The game will offer $1/$2 and $2/$5 No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha tables. WPT has scheduled appearances by Phil Ivey, Brad Owen, Doug Polk, Ethan “Rampage” Yau, Nikki Limo, Vince Van Patten, Tony Dunst, Matt Kiefer, Jamie Kerstetter, James Leonidas, Mike Holtz and Alex Loveless.
The 81 tournament seats will be distributed in nine randomized drops, roughly 20 minutes apart. Each time, tables will be picked at random and selected players will receive an entry. A player can win no more than two seats; if someone who has already reached that limit is selected again, the additional seat goes into a bomb pot for another player to win.
As we reported in September, the Super Gold Million is a new live-only ClubWPT Gold event on the World Championship schedule, carrying a $3 million guarantee. It runs Dec. 10-14 at Wynn Las Vegas, uses a mystery-bounty format and has four starting flights with unlimited re-entry.
The Meet-Up Game falls within the 25-day WPT World Championship festival, which runs Nov. 27-Dec. 21 and features more than 85 tournaments with more than $20 million in guarantees. Festival buy-ins range from $400 to $25,800, with the Super Gold Million at the bottom of that range.
