Lex Veldhuis Joins GGPoker’s GGTeam as Global Streaming Ambassador
The Twitch streamer will stream GGPoker sessions, host community promotions and promote the site’s creator tools.
- GGPoker named Lex Veldhuis its Global Streaming Ambassador on Nov. 3.
- Veldhuis will regularly stream on GGPoker, host viewer tournaments and promotions, and remain active on Twitch.
- The role includes promoting GGPoker’s Streamer Mode, which offers privacy features and cashback for approved creators.
- Veldhuis joined after leaving PokerStars in January following a 17-year association.
Lex Veldhuis has joined GGPoker’s GGTeam as Global Streaming Ambassador, with the company announcing the deal Tuesday, Nov. 3. Veldhuis will regularly broadcast his GGPoker play, run exclusive tournaments and promotions for his community, and advocate for poker content creators.
Veldhuis joins a roster that includes Daniel Negreanu and Michael Mizrachi, the 2025 WSOP Main Event champion. He will continue streaming through his Twitch channel, where he has built an audience of about 330,000 followers.
As we reported in August, Veldhuis became a free agent after ending a 17-year PokerStars association. He left PokerStars in January, after which he returned to streaming multi-table tournaments on GGPoker following much of 2025 away from broadcasts.
GGPoker holds a Dutch license, allowing Veldhuis to play from the Netherlands. PokerStars stopped serving Dutch players when the country opened its regulated online market in late 2021, and Veldhuis had commuted to Belgium for close to three years to keep his channel going before stepping back from poker streams in late 2024.
His return carried immediate audience weight. In January, Veldhuis was Twitch’s most-watched poker channel, averaging 2,034 concurrent viewers across roughly 190 hours live. He previously won the Global Poker Awards’ Streamer of the Year award in both 2018 and 2019, while more than 58,000 viewers watched his 2020 SCOOP Main Event stream.
A central part of the ambassador role will be GGPoker’s Streamer Mode. The company describes the tool as a stable streaming environment with exclusive benefits for approved creators. It can automatically conceal hole cards, hide account balances, and provide a panel to manage open tables when multi-tabling.
Streamer Mode supports Twitch, YouTube and Kick. Approved streamers can earn up to 100% cashback on poker played while broadcasting, while the stated baseline eligibility threshold is three months of poker streaming on YouTube or Twitch and an average of at least 40 concurrent viewers.
Veldhuis said he had played exclusively on GGPoker over the past year and had been impressed by its software and tournament sizes. He called the site a natural fit for himself and his community, while Negreanu described him as “an absolute titan in the poker streaming world.”
