Connor Price Brings Second All in for Cancer Tournament to Roanoke

The Jason Price Foundation’s poker fundraiser on Sunday pairs a 2,000-chip starting stack with support for cancer care and patient clothing.

Connor Price will host the second Jason Price Foundation All In for Cancer poker tournament at the Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke on Sunday at 6 p.m. Proceeds are set to benefit Carilion’s new cancer wing and clothing intended to bring comfort and dignity to people receiving treatment.

The event is at 110 Salem Ave. SE. Tickets cost $50 for guests and $100 for players, with food, a cash bar, silent auction and other donation opportunities included in the evening.

A player ticket includes a seat and a starting stack of 2,000 chips. The event’s Zeffy ticket page also offers 500-, 1,000- and 2,000-chip add-ons, available only with a player-attendee ticket. Guest admission includes the food, cash bar, auction and event activities, but not a poker seat.

Price, a 20-year-old Salem native and Virginia Tech junior, founded the Jason Price Foundation in tribute to his father, Jason. His father was diagnosed with leukemia when Price was 9 and died in 2017. Price said the foundation gives him a way to help other patients after being unable to help his father.

The foundation was formed in 2025, according to WDBJ7. Its debut All In For Cancer tournament was scheduled for Oct. 12 that year, with half of proceeds designated for the cancer center.

The fundraiser comes as Carilion Clinic pursues a $100 million campaign for the Carilion Taubman Cancer Center. Carilion said it had raised $96 million over six years before launching the campaign’s public phase, leaving a $4 million gap. The project is intended to expand cancer-care space from 40,000 to 250,000 square feet, double patient capacity and add treatments and clinical trials previously unavailable locally.

Carilion has projected that the new center will open in 2027.
