Jamie Dwan Wins Coventry Goliath Super High Roller
The UK pro beat Brandon Sheils heads-up for £47,200 after an 89-entry field, with Sheils fresh off a £54,130 high roller victory of his own.
Jamie Dwan won the £2,000 Goliath Super High Roller in Coventry and took home £47,200. The 89-entry event built a £152,200 prize pool and paid the top 10 finishers.
According to PokerNews, the win came just three weeks after Dwan captured the $50,000 No-Limit High Roller at the 2026 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. That score gave him his first WSOP bracelet and a career-best $2,276,691.
Brandon Sheils finished second for £31,500 after the heads-up duo did not strike a deal. Sheils had already won the £1,500 Goliath High Roller for £54,130 a couple of days earlier.
Daniel Carney took third for £20,550, which was described as the second-largest live cash of his career. He had banked $40,000 in the 2026 WSOP Main Event earlier in the month.
Brandon Harris finished fourth for £14,450. Yuzhou Yin was fifth for £10,650, the first five-figure score in the event, followed by Conor O’Driscoll for £7,900, Tuan Vu for £6,100, Matthew Davenport for £5,000, Paul Tait for £4,600 and Naim Atakas for £4,250.
The broader Grosvenor Goliath festival in Coventry has also been producing huge fields. SoMuchPoker reported that the £100,000 guaranteed Monster Stack drew 2,726 entries, grew the prize pool to £207,100, and ended in an 11-way chop after the average stack fell to eight big blinds and stayed there for more than two hours.
