PokerStars Cuts Prague Open Buy-Ins
Main Event drops to €1,100 and High Roller to €2,200, while the company says the lower pricing is a response to player feedback and will stay in place through 2027.
PokerStars has reduced the buy-ins for two events at PokerStars Open Prague. The Open Main Event is now €1,100, down from €1,650, and the Open High Roller has been cut to €2,200 from €2,700. The Open Cup stays at €825.
According to Poker.org, PokerStars said the cuts are a direct response to player feedback and reflect its aim of making the tour more accessible to as many players as possible. The company said the new pricing starts with Prague and standardizes the buy-ins across EPT-connected PokerStars Open stops and standalone festivals such as Aix-en-Provence. PokerStars expects the lower prices to remain in place through 2027.
The Prague stop runs alongside EPT Prague, which runs December 2 to 13. The Open Main Event is set for December 2 to 7, the Cup for December 5 to 6, and the High Roller for December 6 to 8.
PokerStars also said the change will not affect any past or future PokerStars Live League rankings. The Live League uses Low, Medium, and High buy-in categories for its year-long leaderboard, and the ranking system is staying in place even as the Prague event pricing comes down.
