ACR Poker’s Nov. 4 Update Adds Client Tools as ScreenShield Becomes Default

The release brings an in-client assistant, revised mobile navigation, Spin 2 Get In XL and a new Ace deck design.

Key points
  1. ACR Poker’s Nov. 4 release added an Assistant Client on desktop and mobile, along with revised mobile navigation.
  2. Cash-game filters now cover more table preferences, while Spin 2 Get In XL can remain visible during play in participating events.
  3. Players can select a new Ace deck design alongside Classic and existing color and card-back options.
  4. ScreenShield is now enabled by default across WPN, but can be disabled in client settings for streaming, recording and coaching.

ACR Poker’s Nov. 4 software release added a built-in help tool, refreshed mobile navigation, expanded cash-game filters and new tournament-lobby functionality, while making ScreenShield the default setting across the Winning Poker Network.

The Assistant Client is available on desktop and mobile through a chat window inside the poker client. It can answer questions about software features and settings, including guiding a player through changing the client language, without requiring them to leave the app.

Mobile users now see a reorganized home screen built around Fast Lane, Poker Central and Action Central. Those sections provide routes to tournaments, Hold’em, Omaha, casino and sports offerings.

The cash-game screens also have more filtering options. Players can narrow tables by game type, betting structure, table size, stakes and other table preferences.

For participating tournaments, Spin 2 Get In XL now appears alongside registration information in the lobby. A compact version can remain on screen while a player has a poker table open, although the available offer and amount depend on the specific opportunity displayed.

The release also added an Ace deck design in the Table Design settings, alongside the existing Classic option. Existing two-color, four-color and full-color deck choices, plus card-back selections, remain available.

ScreenShield now switches on automatically for WPN players. The protection is intended to stop covered screen-capture and screen-sharing methods from displaying protected table content, including hole cards, while players can continue to see and play their tables normally.

Players who need to stream, record sessions or share their screen with a coach can turn ScreenShield off in the client settings. The network has said the tool can affect legitimate recording and streaming, and is an added safeguard rather than a solution to every cybersecurity threat.

As we reported earlier today, WPN had said it would make ScreenShield the network default on Nov. 4 after initially applying the protection to selected accounts. WPN previously contacted players whose devices met its criteria for remote-access, screen-control or screen-capture software and activated the feature as a precaution.

The network said its move followed concerns that remote-access tools could expose information visible on a compromised device. It also stressed that detecting such software did not, by itself, establish either a compromised device or cheating.

Before the default rollout, players could request ScreenShield through Support, with activation potentially taking up to 48 hours.
