Tight Poker Sets First Freeroll for Oct. 19 With $500 in Bitcoin Prizes

Verified players will need a Weekly tournament ticket, and top-25 finishers can earn a shot at the site’s $1,000 monthly championship.

Tight Poker will run its first community freeroll on Oct. 19, a multi-table No-Limit Texas Hold’em event with $500 in Bitcoin prizes. The site says it is the first chance for its community to meet at the tables, and the tournament is open only to verified users.

According to Tight Poker’s announcement page, players do not pay a conventional cash buy-in. Instead, eligible users enter with a Weekly tournament ticket, and the event is capped at 200 players. The prize pool pays Bitcoin through 16th place, with $150 for first, $100 for second and $75 for third.

The payout ladder keeps going past the paid spots. Finishers from 17th through 25th receive a Monthly tournament ticket, which sends them into Tight Poker’s $1,000 monthly championship. Tight Poker describes that setup as creating two bubbles in the same event, one for getting paid and another for qualifying for the bigger monthly tournament.

The format is built to move quickly. Players start with 800 tournament chips, the opening blinds are 25/50, and blind levels rise every seven minutes. The site says the full weekly event is meant to last roughly one to two hours, with tables breaking down as players bust until a final table decides the first Tight Poker tournament champion.

RG.org describes freerolls as free-to-enter contests that let beginners gain real experience, test strategy against other players and potentially build a small bankroll without risking their own money. Tight Poker’s first offering ties the finish directly to both Bitcoin prizes and a path into its monthly championship.
