Danny Tang Completes APT Incheon Trophy Treble
The Hong Kong pro won the 9-Game High Roller and became the first player to sweep all three 2D Lion Silhouette trophies.
Danny Tang won the APT Incheon 9-Game High Roller, taking the Gold 2D Lion Silhouette Trophy and $19,729. By beating Takuro Yamashiki heads-up, he became the first player to collect all three 2D Lion Silhouette trophies.
Poker.org described Tang as a Hong Kong pro and Triton regular with more than $44 million in live tournament earnings. It also said the win gave him five APT titles overall, including the Silver and Black Lion Silhouette trophies he captured at APT Jeju last year.
The result came during APT Incheon 2026, which runs from August 7 to 16 at Paradise City casino resort in Incheon, South Korea, in partnership with Paradise Group. The festival packs in 108 events, including satellites, and has more than KRW 4 billion, about USD 2.7 million, in prize pool guarantees.
The Asian Poker Tour listed the 9-Game tournament as Event #84 on Friday, August 14. It carried a KRW 3 million, about USD 2,000, buy-in, a 50,000-chip starting stack, and 30-minute levels. The format mixes poker variants and changes games every orbit.
The event is still a young part of the APT schedule. APT said the High Roller – 9-Game debuted at APT Incheon 2025 and had been played four times over the previous 12 months. Its inaugural winner was Japan’s Nagino Makoto, who beat a 24-entry field for a KRW 62.2 million, about USD 45,000, prize pool and a KRW 26.1 million, about USD 18,900 top prize. APT says the event averages 23 entries, with an average prize pool above USD 40,000 and an average top prize above USD 14,900.
Tang’s next stated target is the set of Mega Lion trophies for the APT Main Event, APT High Roller and APT Super High Roller. No player has won two of those yet.
