Garrett Adelstein Set for Commerce Casino Book Signing and $50/$100 Stream

The Oct. 6 appearance brings Adelstein back to the room where he says his live cash-game career began, about a month after his memoir’s release.

Garrett Adelstein will return to Commerce Casino on Oct. 6 for a 1 p.m. signing of his memoir, Beneath the Cards, before taking part in a livestreamed $50/$100 no-limit hold’em game on Bally Poker Live.

The date places the appearance roughly a month after the book’s Sept. 1 release. Adelstein told PokerOrg that the timing allowed Commerce to host a signing, and called the cardroom the place where his competitive live-poker career began.

The memoir is titled Beneath the Cards: A High-Stakes, High-Anxiety Poker Journey. Adelstein said sales had been “tremendous” and better than he had imagined, while readers had connected with material outside the Jack-Four controversy.

Those subjects include family dysfunction, perfectionism, mental-health struggles, and his relationships with Jen and his mother. PokerNews likewise described the book as covering family upbringing, depression and body dysmorphia alongside poker, and reported that it reached No. 1 among new Amazon releases in the Poker and Sports Biographies categories on release day.

Adelstein said he had worried that readers would primarily want the Jack-Four material. The book has ten parts, with its opening section focused largely on his life before poker; Adelstein has said the Jack-Four material is concentrated in Part 10 and appendices containing previously unreleased information.

The Commerce stop also returns Adelstein to the setting of his early live-game grind. He said he once played the casino’s graveyard shifts for 10 to 12 hours a day, six days a week. In a separate September interview with GipsyTeam, he said he had played only five to 10 poker sessions over the preceding four years while writing the book, compared with two or three livestream sessions per week before that period.

Adelstein said a documentary-style breakdown of the Jack-Four evidence is planned for his YouTube channel later in 2026.
