PokerStars on FanDuel Doubles Nightly Stars Stack

The daily MTT now starts deeper, closes late reg later, and carries higher guarantees on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

PokerStars Exclusively on FanDuel has upgraded its daily Nightly Stars tournament, doubling the starting stack from 5,000 chips to 10,000 and pushing late registration back to the 400/800 blind level. The move also lifts the Tuesday and Thursday guarantees to $25,000, while the tournament carries a $22,500 guarantee on the other days.

PokerFuse reported that the changes went live on July 27. It described Nightly Stars as the backbone of the operator’s daily multi-table tournament schedule, and said the update was aimed at improving existing events rather than adding new ones.

PokerNews said Nightly Stars starts at 6:40 p.m. and has been a popular event since it began in April. The outlet said the bigger stack should appeal to players who prefer deeper-stacked poker and give them a little more time to register and rebuy.

Reception to the changes has been positive so far, according to PokerNews. That lines up with the broader pitch around the event, which the outlet described as offering players good value.

FanDuel launched PokerStars Exclusively on FanDuel on April 1. FanDuel said the platform is available in Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, and that it merges player liquidity across those markets.

FanDuel also said the combined network gives customers access to bigger games, larger prize pools, and a broader selection of tournaments and cash games. In the launch note, general manager Aaron Dugan said the partnership brings together two major names in gaming and gives players a more dynamic experience.
