Casino Barcelona’s Sixers Poker Series opens Oct. 13 with a card built entirely around six-handed tables. The festival runs through Oct. 18 at the Port Olímpic venue, led by a €660 Main Event with a €150,000 guaranteed prize pool.
The opening event is the €220 Niners, which begins Oct. 13 and runs for two days. A €1,200 High Roller follows on Oct. 14, while the multi-day Main Event starts Oct. 15.
The rest of the schedule includes a €230 No-Limit Hold’em Progressive Knockout, a €335 Mystery Bounty and a €220 Closer. Casino Barcelona has long been a host venue for the annual PokerStars European Poker Tour, but the Sixers schedule applies its short-handed format across every tournament.
Main Event players receive 50,000 chips whether they buy in directly or qualify through a €125 satellite. Day 1a and Day 1b use 45-minute blind levels, while turbo Day 1c uses 20-minute levels. Unlimited re-entries remain available until the start of Level 15.
Casino Barcelona’s official tournament page also sets out a Day 2 promotion called “Crazy Sixers.” Once registration closes and before play resumes, Day 2 qualifiers play one hand of Crazy Pineapple at their assigned tables: each player is dealt three cards, discards one after the flop, and is then all-in. The river winner receives a €660 ticket for the next circuit stop, with those tickets funded from the Main Event prize pool.
The venue staged a comparable €660 Sixers Main Event in October 2024. That tournament drew nearly 300 entries and generated a €159,660 prize pool; its anonymous winner took €30,000, while each of the top four finishers earned at least €10,500.
The official page lists online-registration deadlines at 11 p.m. on Oct. 14, 15 and 16, although one Oct. 16 entry is marked unavailable online.
