Roughrider Poker Tour $640 Main Event Starts at Jackpot Junction
Three starting flights, a $300,000 estimate and a WPT Wynn seat headline the Minnesota stop.
The Roughrider Poker Tour’s $640 Main Event gets underway at Jackpot Junction Casino and Hotel in Morton, Minnesota, just outside Minneapolis. The stop runs through Sunday, with a champion set to be crowned at the end of the week.
The tournament is using three starting flights over three days. Day 1a begins at 1 p.m. in the casino’s Bingo Hall.
Players start with 60,000 chips. The opening level is 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante, and levels run 40 minutes throughout the event with a 15-minute break every three levels.
Late registration stays open for 12 levels, until the start of level 13, around 10 p.m. Unlimited re-entry is allowed during that window, and late entries are dealt in immediately.
Each Day 1 flight plays down to 15% of the field, rounded up, or through level 16, whichever comes first. The structure sheet also says the game is No Limit Hold’em.
The buy-in is split into $540 for the prize pool, $60 for the entry fee and $40 for dealer and staff fees. An estimated $300,000 prize pool is expected.
The winner gets a WPT Wynn Main Event ticket. PokerNews put that addition at $10,000, while the structure sheet described it as a $10,400 buy-in to the 2026 WPT Main Event at Wynn Las Vegas, paid as an overlay and not taken from the prize pool.
Day 2 restarts Sunday morning at 11 a.m. with all qualifiers combined. The structure sheet says the restart begins at the youngest point of the three flights, or at the start of level 17.
