Martin Zamani Wins ACR’s $10,300 Phil’s Thrill
He also took the Mini Phil’s Thrill PLO 6-Max the same day, making it a two-win Sunday nine minutes apart.
Martin Zamani won ACR Poker’s $10,300 Phil’s Thrill on Sept. 13, taking his first victory in the event. The tournament drew 35 entries from 27 players and built a $350,000 prize pool, with payouts going to just five players.
PokerListings reported that the Phil’s Thrill score was only part of Zamani’s day. He also won two Phil Nagy-branded high-stakes tournaments on ACR Poker nine minutes apart, including the $2,650 Mini Phil’s Thrill PLO 6-Max, which drew 55 entries from 38 players and paid out $137,500. Zamani collected $38,500 for that smaller win.
Phil’s Thrill is a weekly $10,300 buy-in event that runs every Sunday at 2:30 PM ET, according to ACR’s tournament page. The site describes it as the biggest weekly tournament in ACR Poker history and says it is named after WPN CEO Phil Nagy.
CardPlayer reported that the tournament was created after players asked for more consistent high-stakes action, prompting Nagy to say he would play too. The same report said final tables are streamed on Twitch with commentary from ACR Poker pro Rob Kuhn and guests, and that players can qualify through satellites and step tournaments.
PokerListings said Zamani’s two Phil’s tournament wins helped him shake off a slight summer slump and pushed his SharkScope profit past $379,000. He marked the night on X with a short post: “Hot day in the ACR Poker streets.”
He now has a fresh bankroll boost for ACR’s OSS XL Nosebleed series, which runs from Sept. 21 to 28 and features buy-ins from $5,200 to $25,500.
