Director Nick Cassavetes Suing Pal To Settle Poker Debt

"Notebook" director now working on the checkbook.

Famed Hollywood director/actor Nick Cassavetes (”John Q“, “The Notebook“, “Alpha Dog“), an avid poker player and rumored regular in the star-studded Hollywood Home Games which included a plethora of A-list stars, is suing mad over an alleged poker debt.

According to TMZ.com, Cassavetes friend and sometimes poker opponent L.A. business mogul Kevin Washington was supposed to pay a healthy sum of $72,600 for which he wrote Nick a personal check. Problem being that before Nick could get to the bank, Washington allegedly put the kibosh on the check and cancelled it.

Now Nick is looking to get legal over the poker payment and is suing his former friend for 3 times the amount of the check, just to teach the supposed welsher a lesson.
