PokerStars Threatens to Ban Justin Bonomo From All Its Live Events

Justin Bonomo has an axe to grind with PokerStars following the changes they made to their VIP program earlier in the year.

Before playing in the Super High Roller tournament (which he didn’t win) at the European Poker Tour in Monte Carlo last week, Bonomo made his intentions clear.

But after winning a side event it looked like he was under the impression PokerStars wouldn’t pay out if he didn’t pose for a photo—so he made this.

Thought it turned out to be that wasn’t the case, he reported that PokerStars would hold over his head the threat of banning him from all live PokerStars events if he didn’t comply.

Feeling for Bonomo on this, as it doesn’t really look like he had much of a choice if he wants to continue playing live. It must have hurt all the more considering he had been banned from PokerStars live events in the past for “multi-accounting.”
