Tom “Durrrr” Dwan New Poster Boy for Poker Training Site

Malaysian businessman, Paul Phua, who frequents some of the biggest cash game in the world, has now officially launched his poker training site: PaulPhuaPoker and seems to have none other than the reclusive Tom “Durrrr” Dwan as a poster boy for the site.

Dwan who has not been seen on the regular poker circuit for some years now, despite being spotted at the WSOP in Vegas back in the summer, has been keeping his head down — especially since things are not resolved between him and Jungleman — so it comes as a bit of a surprise that he is so prominent on Phua’s site.

There is even an “In Conversation” YouTube series that Dwan is part of.

Dwan has even given a testimonial to the site saying: “Paul Phua has a desire to learn and improve. He’s focused on actually playing better, and doesn’t mind admitting mistakes if he makes them. So now he is always one of the best poker players in almost any poker game he sits down in (and he often doesn’t pick easy games).”

Phil Ivey, who had a shockingly bad 2016 thanks to his edge sorting scandal, has also said of the site: “Paul Phua is probably the best non-pro I’ve ever played poker against. And you can call him a “non-pro” only because he’s such a successful businessman too. He’s certainly better — maybe much better — than a large percentage of professional players.”
