Jamie Gold Almost Half Way to Raising $1 Billion for Charity

2006 World Series of Poker Main Event Champion Jamie Gold has helped raise $490 million, according to a statement he made in a recent interview.

Gold has spent the last 10+ years since reaching one of poker’s greatest achievements focused on philanthropic efforts. “I’m very proud to say that I’m halfway to achieving my goal of helping to raise and donate $1 billion,” Gold said in an interview with Gaelle Jaudon published at SoMuchPoker.com.

Gold also talks about he sale of his WSOP Main Event gold bracelet, which he says was sold without his consent.
