Watch: Cate Hall Accept Her “Consolation Prize” at American Poker Awards
Winning GPI Female Player of the Year for 2016 last night at the American Poker Awards, Cate Hall took the opportunity during her acceptance speech to shine a light on the gender divide within poker.
Hall believes the award for Player of the Year shouldn’t be divided into male and female categories and instead there should just be one award — calling her award a “consolation prize.”
