Chris Moneymaker Ships Two Events at PokerStars NJCOOP

Moneymaker: Quite the appropriate name for a man who launched the poker boom back in 2004 where he won the WSOP Main Event for $2.5 million by qualifying via a satellite on PokerStars for just $86.

This time around, the champ is out on the Garden State, where he’s currently grinding NJCOOP online, the third annual online tournament series running on PokerStars New Jersey.

His first win came on Wednesday at Event #14, a $100 Progressive KO NLHE tourney where he overcame a field of 242 entries to take home over $5000. He continued this performance and shipped Event #16, a $300 8-Game, the very next day to take home his second NJCOOP title.

He wasn’t done that night as he continued his hot streak with a final table in Event #17 and added $1386 to his bag.

In just three events, Chris Moneymaker bagged almost $12,000 by investing just $450 across three events.

NJCOOP continues this week with a $150,000 guaranteed Main Event on Sunday. Looking at his run, one wouldn’t be surprised to see him feature in the Final table once again.
