partypoker has been crowned as the EGR “Poker Operator of the Year” yet again at the EGR Operator Awards 2019 held recently at the Grosvenor House in London on October 24.
This win represents a third consecutive victory for the online poker room in three years.
It won against some of the industry heavyweights like the Stars Group, 888 and the Kindred Group.
partypoker has made some significant changes over the past twelve months from banning HUDs to introducing real name tables; making several software upgrades and hosting the largest online poker tournament—MILLIONS Online.
It’s parent company, GVC Holdings not only won the poker operator, but the company has also been crowned the winner for the “Operator of the Year.”
“Tom Waters and his team work 24-7,” said Rob Yong, GVC partner. “I think Stars won it for 10 years before that, so I guess this is some recognition for trying to do things the right way. Let’s hope this translates into continued growth which will mean competition in the online poker space, which is a win for players.”
