Steve O’Dwyer and Bryn Kenney Emerged Victorious at Triton Poker Montenegro

The Triton Poker SRH series at Montenegro is off to a great start at the very beautiful Maestral Resort & Casino in Budva, Montenegro.

Having kicked off on Sunday, May 5 the series opener HKd 250,000 NLHE 8-Handed Turbo with a buy-in of 250K HKD ($31,850) drew a total of 34 entries to generate a prize pool of 10.5M HKD ($1.3 million).

Entering the final table as the shortest stack, American poker pro Steve O’Dwyer took down the first event defeating his friend Isaac Haxton heads-up after a two-way deal with Haxton and taking home $472,788 for his efforts.

With this win, O’Dwyer now has over $27 million in lifetime live MTT winnings, ranking him in 11th position on the all-time money list.

Event #2: HKD 500,000 NLH 6-Handed attracted another huge field pulling in 79 entries including 34 re-entries. In the end, it was the 32-year-old poker pro from the US, Bryn Kenney emerging victorious to bag $1.4 million—the biggest prize of the series so far.

Kenney now has over $32 million in live poker earnings following this victory. He currently ranks in sixth place on the all-time money list.

There is plenty of action still remaining as the series continues for another ten days. The organizers have scheduled to host Main Events for both Short Deck and No Limit Hold’em variants.

The €110,000 buy-in Triton Montenegro No Limit Hold’em Main Event kicks off today, while the €110,000 buy-in Triton Montenegro Short Deck Main Event begins May 15.
