After being down nearly €1 million in the heads-up PLO challenge versus “VeniVidi1993“, Galfond pulled off a miraculous comeback after winning his first PLO challenge in a spectacular way on Easter Sunday.
Starting off the final session yesterday with Venividi leading with a marginal €8,171 lead, 698 hands were still left out to be played for the challenge to be over.
It went down to the final 75 hands with Galfond taking down the €21.5k pot with a full house, ensuring his win over his Polish opponent and securing the €100,000 side bet that Venividi posted.
