Yet again the folks over at GGPoker are running a charity event to fight COVID-19 global pandemic.
On July 19, WSOP 2020 Online Bracelet Event #33: Every 1 for Covid Relief will be held on the GGPoker platform with a buy-in of $1,111, a portion of which from each player’s entry will be donated by GGPoker to the Caesars Cares assistance fund.
Celebrities from the world of sport, film industry, and poker personalities will be taking part in this Charity event.
Already registered to the event include famous boxers Riddick Bowe & Jason Quigley, former tennis world number one and GGPoker ambassador Boris Becker, mixed martial artists Elias Theodorou & Patrick Côté, and Brazilian actor Leo Lins.
Also taking part is Antanas Guoga, also known as Tony G & former PokerStars and partypoker Team Pro, Kevin Martin. And of course, GGPoker’s own brand ambassadors Fedor Holz, Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier & Felipe Ramos will be also playing.
“We are so grateful to GGPoker and everyone from the international poker community for reaching out a helping hand to our team members here in the U.S. who have suffered such unanticipated hardships this year from the impact of this terrible virus,” said Ty Stewart, Executive Director of the World Series of Poker.
“Poker players have never been slow to support those in need and I’m confident that this Sunday’s effort will be just as successful as our earlier ones,” said GGPoker ambassador, Daniel Negreanu. “The tournament will be a whole lot of fun, with a host of big names duking it out with poker players based all over the world, all while raising money for charity and playing for a WSOP bracelet!”
This will be the operator’s third Charity event to fight the COVID-19 global pandemic. Already, more than $250,000 has been raised by GGPoker through earlier charity events.
Event #33: $1,111 Every 1 for COVID Relief takes place this Sunday, July 19 at 18:00 GMT.
Live streaming with Cards-up coverage is expected to take place on GGPoker’s Twitch channel.
