GGPoker’s Overlay Bot Adds Value to Discord Server

GGPoker has added some value to its community Discord server with a bot that alerts users to upcoming tournament overlay.

Evey online poker player loves a bit of extra value, and one of the best places for a tournament player to find that value is with overlay. GGPoker is now making it easy for players to find that value with an overlay bot in its Discord channel.

The new bot exists in its own channel on the GGPoker Discord server and alerts users on tournaments about to overlay. The bot monitors the GGPoker lobby, and when it finds a tournament where registration is about to close with overlay, it sends a text alert to the overlay-alerts channel.

Players get 15 minutes’ notice of the overlaid games, giving them plenty of time to get in on the value, and equally, giving the operator a chance to fill the necessary slots to reduce or eliminate the projected overlay. Messages come through with a clear indication of which tournament needs runners, as well as how far short the game is from the guarantee.

The new bot will certainly add value to the GGPoker Discord server, both from the perspective of players and the operator. It gives both users and the operator the chance to make the games as big as possible, something that should make both sides smile.
