The Summer Festival series is going strong over at WPT Global, and this weekend, there are two great tournaments to get involved with, offering action for players with small and large bankrolls alike.
The $220 Summer Showdown offers a guaranteed prize pool of a quarter of a million, and the final day will take place on Sunday, July 31. The tournament should gather over 1200 entries to meet the guarantee, and from what the numbers look like right now, there will be a massive overlay.
If you are on a tighter budget, the $22 Mini Showdown also offers excellent value for money. The tournament features a guarantee of $50,000, and you can fully expect the action to be quite soft. Plus, we expect a decently sizeable overlay in that one as well!
Remember that major WPT Global tournaments are structured somewhat differently, so if you want to play on the final day, you will have to play in one of the Day 1 flights running every day until Sunday. You cannot buy directly into Day 2, so you will need to play one of the initial flights and make it into the top 20% of the field.
