PokerStars Power Path: New Way to Qualify for Major Tournaments

Power Path gives all PokerStars players a way to qualify for some of the biggest tournaments starting with a tiny investment.

PokerStars has introduced a new way for players to qualify for major live and online tournaments. Called Power Path, this multi-step system caters primarily to recreational players looking to get involved with big events like EPT, various regional tours, and operator’s flagship online events, like Sunday Million, WCOOP Main Event, and more.

Power Path consists of four steps, starting with $0.50 Spin & Go. All real-money players on PokerStars can receive a daily free Step 1 ticket by simply opting in for the promotion and raking just $0.01. Of course, you can also buy into these tournaments.

Step 2 is either an MTT or on-demand sit and go, leading to $11 Step 3 MTT. You can buy directly into all of these, but to get your seat in the $109 Step 4 tournament, you’ll have to win your ticket playing in Step 3 at least. PokerStars did this on purpose, to give recreational players more of a chance.

In the Step 4 MTT, players will fight for Bronze, Silver, and Gold Power Passes, worth $109, $2500, and $10,300, respectively. Passes won this way can’t be exchanged for cash, but you can use them to participate in various live and online tournaments and cover travel and accommodation expenses.
