GGPoker Brings WSOP to Toronto for the First Time Ever

GGPoker Ontario has partnered up with Great Canadian Resort Toronto to bring the first-ever WSOP Circuit event to Daniel Negreanu's home city.

The World Series of Poker is headed to Daniel Negreanu’s native Toronto for the first time in history! In a recent announcement from GGPoker, it was revealed that the WSOP Circuit series will take place at Great Canadian Resort Toronto in March.

Although details are yet to be fully revealed, GGPoker said that the series will feature eight ring events, and all fans of Ontario online poker will be able to win their seats via online satellites.

The series should feature an estimated prize pool of $3.9 million across the eight events, and the schedule will include the $2,000 Main Event and $3,500 High Roller. WSOPC Toronto action will kick off on Friday, March 22.

The announcement created quite a buzz among poker-loving Ontarians, and the consensus on social media seems to be that a World Series of Poker event like this was overdue in the province.
