Aaron Barone Clears $10,000 Bankroll Target in Six Days

The 888poker ambassador left the micro-stakes after two days and finished four play days ahead of schedule.

Key points
  1. Aaron Barone turned a $2,500 bankroll into more than the $10,000 target in six days rather than the planned 10 play days.
  2. A $2,529 Day 2 profit took his bankroll to $5,193 after 178 tournaments and moved him beyond the micro-stakes.
  3. His $344 Day 3 loss was the only losing session before a $2,436 recovery on Day 4.
  4. Barone kept the original rules after consulting viewers and finished with a $1,997 Day 6 profit.

888poker ambassador Aaron Barone completed a planned 10-play-day bankroll challenge in six days after growing a $2,500 starting roll past its $10,000 target. The livestreamed challenge began Oct. 1 and ended halfway through its intended schedule, with Barone recording profits on five of its six sessions.

PokerListings documented the run under Barone’s abarone68 screen name. He opened with a $164 profit, ending Day 1 with $2,664 and using the result to move slightly higher in buy-ins the next day.

Day 2 produced the pivotal early jump. A $2,529 profit took the bankroll to $5,193 after 178 multi-table tournaments, allowing Barone to leave the micro-stakes behind. He ultimately spent only two days at those stakes.

The first session at higher stakes was also the challenge’s only losing day, as Day 3 ended down $344. Barone recovered on Day 4 with a $2,436 profit. After 355 games, his bankroll stood at $7,285 and he moved up in stakes again.

That second move prompted Barone to ask viewers whether the challenge terms should change. Viewer feedback led him to continue under the original rules.

Day 5 added $1,998, bringing the bankroll to $9,283 after 467 tournaments. With the target within reach midway through the planned challenge, Barone played a sixth and final day, which coincided with Thanksgiving, and booked a further $1,997 profit.

Barone paired each daily update with AI-generated meme images. Reflecting on the early micro-stakes portion, he said the experience gave him respect for the players “battling it out there,” calling it “truly … a grind.”
