Stake.us Launches Mid Month Madness With 24,000 SC Guarantee
The 8 SC Progressive Knockout split each bounty between an instant reward and the winner’s growing target.
- Stake.us scheduled Poker Mid Month Madness for Oct. 17 with an 8 SC buy-in and 24,000 SC guarantee.
- Every knockout paid half of the eliminated player’s bounty immediately and added the other half to the winner’s bounty.
- Surviving players were to share the guaranteed prize pool, though individual payout allocations were not announced.
- PokerStrategy published conflicting dollar-denominated prize and timing details for an event with the same name.
Stake.us launched Poker Mid Month Madness, a one-time Progressive Knockout tournament with an 8 Stake Cash buy-in and a 24,000 SC guaranteed prize pool. The event was scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 17, at 9 p.m. ET, with bounties rather than a leaderboard determining much of the payout action.
TheLines reported that every entrant began with a bounty and that qualifying knockouts were expected to credit rewards instantly. Players could register through the Stake.us tournament lobby by selecting the event and confirming the 8 SC entry.
The format split each eliminated player’s current bounty in half. The player making the knockout received 50% as playable Stake Cash, while the other 50% was added to that player’s own bounty, raising the reward available to later opponents.
For example, a player carrying a 10 SC bounty who eliminated a player with a 20 SC bounty would receive 10 SC in their balance and leave the hand carrying a 20 SC bounty. If more than one player eliminated the same participant, the bounty was divided evenly among the winning hands.
Players still in the tournament at its end were to share the 24,000 SC guaranteed pool, although specific payout allocations had not been announced. Stake.us described the setup as a “whole field hunting each other down” on every hand.
A separate PokerStrategy report used different figures for an event of the same name, listing a $48,000 guarantee, an $8 buy-in and a 17:00 UTC start. It also described eight-player tables and direct lobby registration, but the available reports do not resolve the discrepancy with the Stake.us details.
Stake.us also advertised a promotional offer of 55 SC, 550,000 Gold Coins and 3.5% instant rakeback for players interested in joining the event.
