Andy “BowieEffect” Wilson has won his first GGMillion$ title, banking $437,338 in GGPoker’s $10,000 weekly GGMillion$ tournament. The 223-entry event generated a $2.17 million prize pool, with 25 players paid.

Wilson also received a $10,000 GGMillion$ Live ticket for the 2026 WSOP Paradise festival in The Bahamas. The result was dated Oct. 13 by GGPoker, following a Day 1 that ended Oct. 11 when Viacheslav Buldygin fell in 10th place, according to PokerNews.

The nine-handed final table began with four-time GGMillion$ champion Simon Mattsson in front on 116 big blinds. Chris Nguyen had 70 big blinds and Wilson started third with 47.

Wilson quickly took control. He won a major pot from Mattsson when his queen-ten suited made a river straight against king-queen, then eliminated the initial chip leader in ninth with pocket aces against ace-queen. Mattsson earned $54,667.

Wilson went on to eliminate six of his eight final-table opponents. His run included knocking out Joao Vieira in seventh when pocket jacks beat ace-queen, M Fernandez in fifth with jacks against nines, and Max Buschmann in fourth when ace-ten beat king-jack.

Andrija Robovic began final-table play as the shortest stack and ultimately collected $337,233 for second place. In a hand against Fabiano Kovalski, Robovic’s pocket queens beat Kovalski’s pocket aces after a set arrived on the flop.

Wilson held roughly a 10-to-1 lead when heads-up play began, but Robovic reduced the deficit and later took the chip lead. Wilson won the title in the last hand by calling Robovic’s all-in with king-queen suited against pocket fours, then flopping a king.

The victory was Wilson’s first GGMillion$ crown, although not his largest reported tournament score. His previous-best result was a runner-up finish in a phased event in April 2024 worth $1.23 million.
