GGPoker is set to run its next PLO Series from Nov. 1 through Nov. 17, putting its Ocean KO jackpot progressive-knockout format at the center of a dedicated Omaha schedule.

The series will feature one-day Ocean KO tournaments with buy-ins of $10, $50, $100, $500 and $1,000, and guarantees from $25,000 to $200,000. These daily events will begin in groups of two or three and are listed in the PLO Series tab under Daily Events.

Two of the Ocean KO tournaments will use Five-Card Omaha. The rest will be Four-Card Omaha, according to PokerListings.

The schedule also includes a flighted $25 PLO Ocean KO tournament carrying a $1 million guarantee. Players can enter any number of flights to build a stack for the Final Stage; flights run until 18:30 UTC on Nov. 2, when Day 2 begins.

At the top end, GGPoker has scheduled three $10,000 GGMillion$ Pot-Limit Omaha high rollers, each with a $1 million guarantee and the same tournament structure. Players who register by Level 5 receive extra chips through the Early Bird promotion, while routes into the events include a $525 qualifier and a satellite ladder costing $108 to $1,050.

The series leaderboard has a $200,000 prize pool and will pay 1,500 players after the festival ends.

As we covered earlier this month, Ocean KO made its debut during GGPoker’s Bounty Hunters Series, where its first three tournaments all exceeded their guarantees. The format combines a progressive knockout with a random bounty multiplier: half of each buy-in funds the player’s starting bounty, with the rest going to the regular prize pool and fee.

When a player eliminates an opponent, the bounty is multiplied by a random figure from 0.4x to 400x. Half of the resulting value is paid immediately in cash, while the other half increases the winning player’s own bounty.

Pokerfuse reported that the multipliers average 1x over the long run, although individual results can vary sharply. Almost three-quarters of knockouts pay below face value, while a 10x-or-higher multiplier occurs about once every 40 knockouts. The 400x top multiplier is much rarer, appearing once in every 50,000 bounties.

The PLO Series opens Nov. 1, with the $25 Ocean KO tournament’s flight stage closing the following day.
