Australian pro Andrew Han won the ₩1.3 million KPC Main Event at the Jeju Poker Festival, taking ₩150 million (about $111,770) after defeating Yifu He heads-up at LES A Casino on Jeju Island on Nov. 1. The victory was Han’s largest career cash to that point.

The tournament drew 747 entries across five starting flights. It carried an ₩880 million guaranteed prize pool, which narrowly held, and its final day lasted 12 hours. He earned ₩102.5 million for second place, while Fabian Gumz collected ₩68 million in third after beginning three-handed play as chip leader.

Gumz’s elimination left Han and He almost even in chips, beginning a heads-up contest that ran for about two hours. On hand 282, He moved all-in holding king-ten and Han called with king-eight. An eight on the flop paired Han, and the remaining cards did not change the result.

Han had entered the final table second in chips after sitting third following Day 1D. Before this result, his best recorded score had been a 12th-place finish worth about $66,500 in the APT Championship Taipei 2025 Main Event.

As we reported Aug. 29, KPC Poker had unified its Jeju brands ahead of the festival. Han, a Melbourne-based player who began travelling the Asian circuit in 2025, had previously won the KPC Mini High Roller Turbo, the GOP Taipei Titan Stack High Roller and the USOP Vietnam Superstack. He also finished 12th in WPT Prime Korea at the previous year’s Jeju Poker Festival.

Speaking after the win, Han said the festival’s structure had improved over its recent editions. He added that he expected to play more high rollers. Han said he now felt more comfortable playing them.
