WPT Seoul Will Debut at INSPIRE’s New Poker Space

The 11-day stop will include 46 events, a KRW 1 billion championship guarantee and a livestreamed final table.

World Poker Tour will bring WPT Seoul to INSPIRE Entertainment Resort from Oct. 30 to Nov. 9. The stop will be the first tournament staged in INSPIRE’s new second-floor entertainment space.

The event announcement comes through the tour’s official licensee Khartes and INSPIRE Entertainment Resort. INSPIRE operates South Korea’s largest foreigner-only casino.

Inside Asian Gaming reported that the festival will run for 11 days and include 46 events. Buy-ins will range from KRW 300,000 to KRW 8 million, and the championship event is set to open on Nov. 5.

That championship will finish with a final table on Nov. 9 and carry a KRW 1 billion guaranteed prize pool. Veteran tournament director Danny McDonagh will oversee the series, and players will get complimentary nightly entertainment at Ultra Lounge during the festival.

The series will be held at YY Poker Club, a 70-table room with a dedicated livestream studio. The new space also includes the Daia junket room and Ultra Lounge, which are being positioned as hospitality and nightlife spots alongside the poker floor.

AGBrief added that the championship event will have a KRW 1.75 million buy-in. World Casino Directory says INSPIRE soft-opened on Nov. 30, 2023, held its grand opening on Feb. 3, 2024, and now includes a 1,275-room hotel and a 15,000-seat arena.

The championship final table will be livestreamed globally for fans who cannot attend in person.
