CoinPoker’s Battle of Malta Online Centers on a $2.5 Million Main Event

Daily Day 1 flights, $55 satellites and trophy events fill out a $30 million series.

CoinPoker’s Battle of Malta Online Series is running with a $565 Main Event that carries a $2.5 million guarantee. According to GamesHub, the festival runs from July 12 through August 3 and has $30 million in guaranteed prize pools.

The series has already crowned its first champions after an opening week led by the $1 million guaranteed CoinMillion. That event previously appeared in World Poker Masters, and the new run uses a $215 buy-in with Day 1 on July 12 and Day 2 on July 13.

The Main Event has Day 1 flights running through the rest of the series, with survivors returning for Day 2 on August 3. Most of those flights begin at 17:30 UTC, and $55 satellites offer a cheaper route into the field.

CoinPoker’s schedule also includes the $55 Main Challenger, which guarantees $500,000, and the $11 Main Crusader, which guarantees $100,000. Together with the flagship, the three Main Events carry $3.1 million in guarantees, and both smaller events run daily Day 1 flights at 17:30 UTC.

Players who qualify more than once in the Main Challenger and Main Crusader keep their best accumulated stack for Day 2. The $1,500 CoinMasters BTC High Roller is another $1 million event, and its first two Day 1 flights are already complete while Day 1C and Day 1D remain on the schedule.

The festival also includes 77 trophy events, each awarding a physical Battle of Malta trophy and a digital CoinPoker Trophy Cabinet award. The Main Event winner gets a unique physical trophy, and winners can collect trophies at the CoinPoker Trophy Ceremony during the live Battle of Malta Autumn Edition or have them delivered.

CoinPoker is also tying the online series to live Battle of Malta Autumn Edition packages. In total, it plans to award 100 packages, split between 75 Champions Trials seats and 25 more through Main Event promotions, for the live series in Malta from October 27 to November 4, which carries a $2 million guarantee. The Iron Throne starts July 26 at 18:05 UTC and returns on July 27, while Regs of the Round Table follows on July 30 at 16:30 UTC and is expected to draw poker names including Bencb, Kelvin Kerber, Jeremy Ausmus and Patrick Leonard.
