BBZ Poker Launches $185 Small Blind Course on Limped Pots
Jordan Drummond’s new training package covers 10 hours across 62 videos and drills deep into blind-versus-blind decisions from preflop to river.
BBZ Poker has released Small Blind Mastery: Limped Pots, a $185 tournament course led by founder Jordan “BBZ” Drummond. The package runs 10 hours across 62 videos and 13 chapters, and it focuses entirely on blind-versus-blind limped pots.
PokerNews reported that Drummond built the course after seeing students repeatedly struggle with the complexity of blind-versus-blind play. He said they needed systems that could turn wide ranges into repeatable and executable strategies, and BBZ says the course is available now through its training platform.
The course is built as a road map from preflop limping ranges to river decision-making. Its material covers minimum defense frequency, geometric bet sizing, relative hand strength, bluff-to-value ratios, and two separate river bluffing systems, while also looking at how ranges develop street by street and how betting and defense can follow the same underlying logic.
It describes limped pots as the most frequent blind-versus-blind configuration and the least studied, with wide ranges that are capped in strange places. It says many players improvise, spew off small bets, and bleed away the biggest edge available to a competent small blind.
The page also says the course is meant to give players limping ranges that make sense and a bet-versus-bet framework that carries from flop to river. The product page adds a short bio note on Drummond, saying he has been a force in poker for more than 15 years, has won over $1 million in his playing career, founded BBZ Staking in 2012, and launched BBZPoker.com in 2019 as coaching demand grew.
The company said BvB pots are among the most frequent and most misplayed spots in tournament poker, where thin margins and wide ranges make small mistakes add up. That guide breaks the spot down by stack depth, saying the small blind can play about 80% of hands at 10 big blinds, around 85% at 15 to 20 big blinds, and roughly 75% of hands through limping at 60 big blinds.
BBZ’s short-stack guide also shows how much limped and raised pots can diverge. At 14 big blinds, it says limped pots create an SPR of roughly 5 and lead to a check-heavy small-blind strategy, with the SB checking about 57% of flops and betting 43%, while raised pots compress the SPR to around 2 and push the small blind toward betting 78% of flops.
