Brandon Wilson Takes Fifth in EPT Barcelona €10,200 Event
His €28,600 cash came in a 31-entry Unlimited Re-Entry field as Elias Suhonen won the title
Brandon Wilson took fifth place in the €10,200 No-Limit Hold’em Unlimited Re-Entry event at EPT Barcelona, earning €28,600 from a 31-entry field.
PokerStake described it as a strong performance and said it looked good for his chances in the rest of the series. In the same report, Wilson said he usually decides which events to sell on PokerStake based on the tournaments fans are sweating the most, pointing to the WSOP, PGT and Triton Poker Series, and said buyers get entertainment value and the chance to cheer for a player they believe in.
PokerNews independently matched the result and said the event generated a €310,000 prize pool. Elias Suhonen won the title for €114,200 after beating Nicholas Seward heads-up for €73,700. Before that, Jean-Noel Thorel finished with €48,900 and Mehdi Chaoui took €35,300.
The cash came during PokerStars’ Barcelona stop at Casino Barcelona. SpadePoker said Barcelona and the European Poker Tour have been linked for more than two decades, with EPT history beginning in the city in 2004, and said this year’s festival runs through Aug. 29.
