Brock Wilson Wins €20,000 EPT Barcelona Event

He beat Ottomar Ladva heads-up for €233,556 in a 32-entry tournament that paid the top five.

Brock Wilson won the €20,000 No-Limit Hold’em Unlimited Re-Entry at EPT Barcelona for €233,556 after beating Ottomar Ladva heads-up. The event drew 32 entries, including re-entries, and built a €627,200 prize pool.

According to PokerNews, the top five shared the money. Ladva took €150,600 for second, Gabriel Tavares earned €99,900 for third, Jean-Noel Thorel got €72,200 for fourth, and Jamie Dwan cashed for €58,400 in fifth.

The report said Wilson finished 16th in the 2026 WSOP Main Event for $410,475, then later finished second in a $25,500 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open for $268,450.

The same festival also produced wins in several side events. In the €550 No-Limit Hold’em In-the-Money at 180,000, 572 entries made a €286,000 prize pool, and players who reached 180,000 chips on Day 1 advanced to Day 2 with a min-cash locked in. Eighty-five players returned, Maria Konnikova reached heads-up against Sacha Cohen, and she finished second for €32,500 while Cohen won the title for €52,000.

Another EPT Barcelona result saw Yves Thalman take the €3,250 No-Limit Hold’em Seniors High Roller for €43,530. The report linked that to his fifth-place finish in the €1,100 Seniors at the prior Barcelona stop, and said Vranken finished second after being eliminated by Thalman.

Vranken had won the €1,100 Seniors on August 16 for €55,650 and another €28,770. The festival also saw Mads Larsen win the €3,150 No-Limit Hold’em Hyper Turbo Freezeout for €40,870 in a 37-player field, with Apostolos Kofidis collecting €26,400 as runner-up.
