GTO Wizard Adds Three-Way Postflop ICM and Bounty Solving
The new update brings custom multiway study, node locking and tiered access for tournament players
GTO Wizard added three-way postflop solving that factors in ICM and bounty formats, giving tournament players a new way to study some of the trickiest postflop spots in poker. The update also covers regular knockouts, PKOs and TKOs, and it lets users break down those spots with more detail than the company’s earlier multiway tools.
The new feature set is meant to handle any 3-way postflop situation, with full control over stack sizes, bet sizes, ranges, rake and opponent tendencies. According to GTO Wizard’s blog, users can also nodelock strategies in multiway spots, practice them in the trainer or range builder, and use the system’s support for the bunching effect when one player folds.
As covered in July, GTO Wizard had already broadened its PLO solver with heads-up tools, nodelocking and postflop ICM. This latest rollout goes further by bringing multiway postflop study into the tournament side of the product, where bounty considerations and ICM both matter.
Pokerfuse said the company framed the upgrade as a major breakthrough for tournament study, noting that solvers were mostly limited to heads-up spots until relatively recently, even though multiway analysis has advanced over the past couple of years. The outlet also said the tool can work with fields of up to 4,000 players.
Access is split by subscription tier. Pokerfuse said custom bet sizes, node locking, player profiles and 3-way ICM Single Size solutions are available only to eligible subscribers, while GTO Wizard’s blog said custom multiway solving requires an Elite subscription.
The company’s own write-up described the release as its biggest update ever. It also said multiway postflop solving had been a long-term effort, and that the new system can solve custom 3-way spots instantly with a redesigned Nodelocking interface and a more intelligent frequency locking algorithm.
That blog post also set the release against the company’s earlier multiway work. Before this update, multiway offerings were described as limited to preflop solutions generated with traditional solvers, while the newer postflop version is customizable for any 3-way spot. The same post said users can try a free flop example, Q♠T♠7♥, with unlimited usage.
